Exploring the Site

Hi Again,

After posting my first Blog, I felt some sort of accomplishment of completing something that I had been procrastinating over for months. So in return of this successful feeling, I went exploring the wonderful blogspot site and came across many things that I have never worked with before... Sadly to say that it was simple things that are only usually found in Blog sites, hence why I had no clue on what to do when I came across this___
I had no idea that you could add Ads into your blogs and earn money. AdSense - an easy way to fill up spaces and crowd your page. One day I will have enough readers to implement this scavenging way of gaining extra cashola.

Everything else was pretty basic and self-explantory, but the site wanted me to design my Blogspot... I don't have the patients to sit there and make something look pretty.  I always go with the basic template they give me - One time, I had tried to decorate the background and ended up choosing colours and pictures that made text almost impossible to read.

An Example would be as followed

I always tried background and text that were my favourite colours.

As you can see, it never worked out to my advantage. but none-the-less when I was younger I put up with it, and when I couldn't read something, I just hightlighted the words. Days when things didn't matter, and we used the colours we likes, not the most suitable colours :D

New to this... Sim it up!

Hi,

So after weeks and months of trying to decide if I wanted to start a blog. I thought "What the hell?" So here it is. I don't have any experience in Blogging, but we all must start somewhere.

Now, newbie to this? Yes. Have things to say? Yes. What are you waiting for? Nothing.
Let's dive right on into my favourite thing, and most likely a common thing you will find within all my Blogs... **Drum Roll** The Sims, 2 & 3.

Having no outside of school activities or part-time jobs when I was younger, my friend (She will be called X) introduced me to the computer game Sims 2 when I was over her house one weekend. I soon then became addicted to the God powers and complete control over the tiny animated people on the screen. Not only could you tell them what to do, if they misbehaved you could torture them. Starvation, isolation.
Both X and myself had no outside life. We played Sims or played Bratz, living in imaginations of young children. But now, as adults, we have ditched the Bratz and still continue to play Sims 3.

As we have grown, so has our understanding on how to manipulate the game. Even with the current restrictions of game play in Sims 3 we have both overcome this obstacle (Usually by cheats X finds). Families become big and messy. Sims become depressed and Gods (Us) become to infuriated, ending in killing all... Well I kill all.

Being a newbie at Sims when I was young ended up with me sitting next to X and watching her play. Waiting impatiently for my turn and almost pushing her out of the way when she was taking too long, only to realize that I did not know how to play the game and needing help, resulting in X taking back the computer to teach me. Frustrating process I believe. I was an impatient child.

Wonderful example of the mixed emotions I had when playing Sims and dealing with X teaching me how to play the Sims.
As I learnt, I developed a certain God-Like complex, believing that I had the same control over real life as I did with the Sims lives, unfortunately, my mother proceeded to tell me that my "realistic" view on reality was actually unrealistic, completely shattering my young mind and realizing that I was too much addicted.

Thus, ending my Siming life for a few years.

Now, as we reach our 20's we begin to play again, but I am fully aware that I am not God in reality and only in the Sims.
